It can be a raw material or a fuel for the manufacturing process.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Biomass Rotary Dryer Applications in Industry<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>In the<span>\u00a0<\/span><strong>pellet-making industry<\/strong>, a common setup involves the use of a<span>\u00a0<\/span><strong>biomass rotary dryer<\/strong>, which is heated by a furnace (generally burning biomass) and followed by a<span>\u00a0<\/span><strong>dryer cyclone<span>\u00a0<\/span><\/strong>for primary<span>\u00a0<\/span><strong>particle separation<\/strong>. This configuration is widely replicated across other industries, ensuring efficient drying processes. Their much lower size (MVD ~15\u00b5m) forces clients to use a<span>\u00a0<\/span><strong>final dedusting system<\/strong><span>\u00a0<\/span>to comply with stricter emission limits.<\/p>\n<p>Typically,<span>\u00a0<\/span><strong>Wet Venturi Scrubbers<\/strong><span>\u00a0<\/span>or, in more environmentally strict cases,<span>\u00a0<\/span><strong>WESPs<\/strong><span>\u00a0<\/span>are used to reduce emissions under 50mg\/Nm<sup>3<\/sup>, though with significant drawbacks. Scrubbers imply very high energy costs due to very high-pressure drops. WESPs work with low pressure drops but have high OPEX and CAPEX.
